First, the box looks similar to the original Krave. But under the title, you’ll spot “Cinnamon Sugar Churro” written in that tempting font. The cereal itself isn’t orange like the OG version. These pieces are more of a creamy beige with a dusting of cinnamon sugar that leans heavy on the sugar side.
She said the shape is different too. The pieces are a little longer and slimmer. And they’ve got some grooves and soft curves that kind of look like mini churros. But they still hold that classic rectangular Krave shape.
How Does It Taste?
So, what’s it like once you pop a piece in your mouth? Kayla says the flavor is a mix of Cinnamon Toast Crunch and something you’d find at a bakery. Think scones, Pop-Tart crust, and Hershey’s milk chocolate all in one. She explained the cinnamon sugar gives it a sweet, powdery texture. And you still get a soft chocolate hit in the middle. She described it as about 35% chocolate and said the combo is surprisingly well balanced.
She also pointed out that while the original Krave can get mushy in milk, the churro version holds up better. The cereal starts out crispy and softens slowly. And even when it gets soggy, it still keeps a nice texture. The grooves in the pieces seem to help with that.
Dry vs. In Milk
Some people don’t touch cereal with milk. And for those folks, good news. Kayla said these are just as good dry. In fact, maybe even better for some. She said they’re less chocolatey when eaten plain, but still taste awesome. The churro flavor really shines through.
She gave them a 7.8 out of 10. That’s pretty solid, especially for someone who doesn’t normally reach for Krave. Her final thought? “It’s unique, and I’m for it.”
