McDonald’s fans have been begging for the return of the Snack Wrap for years. And yes, it’s finally coming back on July 10. But the thing is, other fast food chains didn’t wait around. Popeyes already jumped in with their chicken wraps earlier this June. And now Taco Bell has thrown its hat into the ring.
Yeah, you heard that right. Taco Bell is now part of the chicken wars.
Taco Bell’s Nugget Win
Last year, Taco Bell surprised a lot of people with its Crispy Chicken Nuggets. They weren’t just regular nuggets. These had tortilla chip breading that gave them that bold, signature crunch. The lineup includes:

- Crispy Chicken Burrito
They’ve all been tested. They’ve been tweaked. And now, they’re ready for the spotlight.
What Makes Them Special
These aren’t just plain chicken strips. Taco Bell marinated them in jalapeño buttermilk flavor first. Then they’re breaded with crushed tortilla chips for that crispy, craveable texture.
You can grab the strips on their own or dip them in one of two sauces:
- Spicy Ranchero Sauce – a kick of Anaheim and jalapeño peppers, tomatoes, garlic, and onion
- Avocado Ranch – a smooth, creamy ranch with a mild avocado twist
The taco version keeps it simple but flavorful. One crispy strip, purple cabbage, lettuce, pico de gallo, shredded Cheddar, and your choice of sauce, all wrapped in a soft tortilla.
Now if you’re really hungry, the burrito version doubles everything. Two strips, extra veggies, more cheese, and a full-sized tortilla to wrap it all up.
